and a drew a couple of these little demon guys based off ginsengandhoney’s little 8-bit sprites here! it’s really fun and the sprites have a lot of charm to them for such little things.
Back from BC and the 649 Monsters show is all wrapped up. Here’s my little mareep piece I made for it. I was looking for a good gallery shot of it to post while I was away from home but couldn’t find any! Still unsure on the status of the print right now since I couldn’t go to Milwaukee and attend.
I’m still around Tumblr.. I need to get better about scanning and updates.. sorry :(

NOPE it’s still acting weird. you all get B&W for now. Pretty strange as it displays correctly in preview!
Various doodles I found around the apartment and scanned, featuring:
A rambunctious little moth guy ( I was thinking maybe he’d be a fan of luchador wrestling, but he was too featherweight to compete in the big leagues.) A llama in a sweater, a fat alien dog, and a little rubber stamp I made of a quail-sorta bird.
I scanned these before I left to BC and meant to upload much earlier. It was busy here driving to and fro to see relatives, then when things finally settled down, our elderly family dog became very ill and needed to be taken to the vet and euthanized :(
I used to think it was sort of odd that people are able to break up their life experiences into annual chunks and deem those chunks as “good” or “bad”. I guess it just feels sort of arbitrary to package up all occurrences from one year and slap a descriptive label on all of it instead of just taking them seperately for what they are.
but WOW. I’l say it. That was a pretty rotten year.
My new place has power outlets in the most inconvenient places, but I think I’m close to sorting it out.
Being without a home computer for 2 weeks stinks.
I’m moving tomorrow evening and scrambling to get everything ready while throwing out stuff I don’t need at the same time. I found a sketchbook that was probably around 5 years old. Before throwing it out I wanted to double-check if anything was worth keeping, and lo and behold this guy gave me a bit of a laugh.
( I know some people find it a real faux pas to throw out old sketchbooks/work… trust me, when you’re moving an average of once per year your stuff loses a lot of it’s preciousness)
